project 365 - week 21 (august 19-25)

When you are an almost 18 month old, the world is such a fascinating place. You are trying to understand the things happening around you, how they happen, where they are coming from, and why they are happening. When I see the excitement in his eyes over such little things, it is a great reminder for me to just stop and take it all in. This week Honey Boy got to play in the most beautiful rainstorm for the first time. It was that warm kind of rain that you could play in all day long. He also got to hold his first worm and even attempted to eat breakfast with me at the big table. I guess this is a week of many victories and fascinations for the Weston Honey Boy.

Day 141/365 "Rain Dance"

Before he took off like a crazy baby to dance in the rain, he had to study it and figure out how it was making such amazing splashes on the sidewalk.

Day 142/365 "Achooooooo!"

A household favorite with all of the littles. Place the object on the head then pretend sneeze it off. It never gets old!

Day 143/365 "One Tomato, Two Tomato..."

So in an attempt to remove the single bright red tomato, she somehow managed to pull off all of them instead. That's ok though because this is so cool! A tomato from every stage of its tomatohood, from baby to grown adult tomato.

Day 144/365 "Worms"

Honey Boy was pretty excited to be able to help daddy with the worms during this fishing trip!

Day 145/365 "Oldie But Goodie"

My poor skid loader died again. The first time it broke down it did not want to hold on to the bales, this time it refused to let go of them! So, back to the good ole reliable lady.

Day 146/365 "Just the Two of Us"

Daddy took Lyla along with him for the day, so this morning it was just me and Honey Boy. He decided that he wanted to try eating his breakfast at the big table with mommy.

Day 147/365 "The Millionth Diaper Change"

My dad has changed many-a-diaper in his day. From me and my brother to my three littles, he is a pro.
